I fired up the press today, and started to run, but had no suction on the feeder (blow was fine). So I messed with the dial, and suddenly it was okay. I thought nothing of it and began the run. I had to stop to talk on the phone for about 15mins, and when I came back I have no suction again. I have traced suction through the dail, and back to where the line goes into a plastic tank that has like nine bubble things. Any ideas?

It could be the 3 / 2 way valve which may need a clean out (above the 9 plastic bubbles) but i would check the air connections from the pump and the filters on the pump.

If its the 3/2 valve I posted a video here

One day I'm hopeful a press mechanic will video all the Greasing, Maintenance, roller setting chores and create a training DVD or 2 or 3 for sale for the Heidelberg DI's.

For instance even though our machine was set up by Presstech I feel the inking units were never properly set in relation to each other as they all require considerably different start up counts.

Also I had this happen for which there is no feeder suction

That was exactly the problem, took it off, cleaned it up, and it ran like a champ. Thanks.
